Chemical logs and client reports for small pool routes, without the clipboard and spreadsheet
PoolLog is a simple service log for solo pool pros and small crews. Record readings from your phone at each stop, and every client gets a clean report automatically. It is in development now.
The problem
- Readings go on a clipboard, get typed into Excel later, and service history ends up split across paper, spreadsheets and your accounting software.
- A spreadsheet has no idea which pools are due this week, and a stop that drops off the list can turn into a green pool and a lost account.
- Chemistry sits as one number per visit instead of a trend, so a slow drift in pH or CYA only shows up once the pool is already in trouble.
- When a customer asks what you did last month, the proof is buried in a notebook or a photo roll.
- All-in-one pool platforms cost more and take longer to set up than a small route needs.
What PoolLog does
- Mobile service log: chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, CYA, salt, water temperature, chemicals added, photos and notes
- Property and equipment register with a full service-history timeline and trend charts per pool
- Recurring visit calendar, a route-day view, and alerts for overdue or missing logs
- Checklists for weekly service, openings, closings and repairs
- Automatic client report page and branded PDF, plus a simple share link for each client
- Works next to the tools you already use: CSV import and export, no payment processing lock-in

Who is building this
I'm Emad, a software developer who builds small tools for niche businesses. I kept seeing pool pros describe the same setup: a clipboard, an Excel sheet, and accounting software that do not talk to each other. Before I build PoolLog, I want to hear from people who actually run routes. If this would help you, join the list or tell me what I am missing. I am not a pool tech, so your input shapes what gets built.
